Love Rock summons an instant block party energy, showcasing the expert weight of Kassims basslines, as well as hinting at the fusion of hip-hop and jazz that bubbles through the textures of the German-Nigerian producers studio work. Meanwhile, I Do Dance stays true to the promise of its title, delivering blissful sun showers of synths amid emotional pads and hints of the classic Korg M1 organ sound, a universal signal to party.
