Welcoming back Shall Not Fade family member Paul Rudder who brings an uplifting 5-track EP that shows him come into his powers right in the sweet spot between house music meant for the dance floor and that more suited to late night cruises. Whatever the setting, Unknown Future EP oozes with cool and sees the Spanish producer strip things back from his usual disco-infused sound. 'Night Ocean' and 'Unknown Future' kick things off with dreamy, full-bodied soundscapes of glistening pads and synths which flutter over a skipping house beat to transport their listener to celestial planes. Continuing in the same otherworldly vein, 'Storm Pattern' and 'Variable Star' are bolstered by thick layers of cosmic ambience whilst 'Goodbye Planet' represents the EP at its most minimal with a focus on percussion and a minimal skipping house beat.
