Following the success of Pedro Borlado’s debut ‘First Light’ EP, which launched the initiative in late 2024, Chris Stussy now unveils the next chapter in his Up The Stuss Scholarship series - a project dedicated to mentoring and platforming emerging artists from across the globe. Designed to offer guidance, development, and an outlet for promising producers to showcase their music, the series returns this winter with its sophomore release: ‘Reconnection’ by Newcastle’s Lewis Taylor. At just 24 years old, Taylor has quickly become a much-talked-about young talent, with his ‘Party Trax’ series earning praise from established names such as Palms Trax and Job Jobse. His productions, landing on labels including Trick, ec2a, Agrio Tracks, and Riviera Records, reflect an understanding of house music’s history while keeping his sound fresh, energetic, and forward-thinking. ‘Reconnection’ captures the spirit of the Scholarship project: youthful energy shaped through mentorship, Chris’s creative direction, and the Up The Stuss ethos. Across two cuts, Taylor presents his most refined work to date.
