Clive From Accounts is finally back on Dirt Crew Recordings! After some excellent contributions and remixes for the highly acclaimed New York based "Razor-N-Tape" imprint, he graced us again with three new gems that show the great diversity in his productions. Since his first "Cooking the Books EP" in 2021 and the follow up "Pearls EP" in 2022 he has continued to build a strong following of fans, so we know for sure a lot of you have been waiting on new tracks by him.
The uplifting opener "That Rhythm" is a smooth deep house roller with chopped up dusty samples, inspired by the US and French masters but with a heavy UK sub bass added. Following up is the wonderfully crafted "Maceo", a groovy instrumental jazz funk workout built around the genius of The JBs legends Fred Wesley and Maceo Parker.
Closing out this new EP is the acid laden and also title track "Clive by Night", deep and lush house music that we love him for since his first release on our label, here he's finding joy in deep evolving repetition, it's an ode to the 303 and Xpander. Best played at night.
Get in these 3 new hitters from Clive now, we are looking forward to hear these played out in dark clubs and wide open fields this late summer and golden fall. Enjoy!
