ADMNTi makes the inaugural statement for Area Records which is the new label launch from the creators of the seminal Wavy Garms brand.

The new GigaHertZ EP is a five-track transmission built from electro-tinged tech house, fractured breaks, 2-step energy and tightly engineered club pressure. Arriving as AREA001, the EP establishes a clear sonic identity for the label from its very first release: forward-facing, stripped-back and designed for the darker corners of the dancefloor.

Says the founder Andres; "Area Records was created in 2026, but the idea behind the name comes from growing up in London during the ’90s and early 2000s. Back then, your area and where you lived played a big part in your identity. It influenced how you dressed, who you knew and what music you listened to. Growing up in London at that time felt stripped-back, gritty and moody, and that feeling is the thread that ties Area Records together. The timing also feels perfect. 2027 marks 15 years of Wavey Garms, and I’ve been connecting fashion, music and culture since I was 19, from running raves and radio shows to working with artists and brands. Area feels like the natural next chapter: something I’ve been building towards without even realising it. Each release will have its own sound and identity, but underneath it all is that same raw, moody energy."

Opening with the title track, GigaHertZ immediately plugs into the grid, a driving, hypnotic cut where rolling percussion, crisp rhythmic detail and electronic textures lock together with precision. It is music that feels constantly in motion, pushing the energy forward without ever needing to overstate itself.

Redo The Wires follows with a more fractured approach, playing with broken rhythms and twitchy electronic details, before Zero Zone takes things deeper into the system. The groove stays physical while the production becomes increasingly atmospheric, creating that sweet spot between heads-down warehouse functionality and futuristic UK club sensibilities.

Closing the EP is Osmosis in B Minor, presented in both Original and Extended versions. The track brings a more spacious, evolving quality to the package, allowing the groove to breathe while gradually building its layers and tension. The Extended Mix, clocking in at almost nine minutes, is built with the DJ booth firmly in mind, and giving the track room to develop, mutate and take over the floor.

There is a distinct sense of purpose running through GigaHertZ. Nothing feels accidental; every drum, frequency and microscopic production detail has its place. It is an EP concerned as much with movement and texture as it is with outright impact.

For ADMNTi, GigaHertZ represents more than a new release. It marks the beginning of Area Records, setting the frequency for what comes next.
