Release notes
MOF002 – Zeynep Erbay, Dans
Where Sky High, the first release on Zeynep Erbay’s Moments on the Floor, looked upwards, Dans turns its attention to the body. The label’s second release moves into a bolder, more playful space.
The EP brings together four tracks: “Dans,” “Find The Girl” and two versions of “Waiting Now.” Instinctive grooves carry the record as fragmented voices drift in and out and acid arrives in sudden flashes. Its nostalgic pull is never tied to one era. Familiar club sounds take on stranger forms as the record moves between yearning and euphoria.
Dans turns tension into celebration without losing its edge. Hips in a trance, the floor briefly becomes a world of its own.
