VA Title: Physical Time Marking the 3rd birthday for Airtime Records, here we see a four-track celebration from its four crowning jewels on beautiful marbled vinyl. Track one comes from Amsterdam's M High, a real success story in the modern electronic canon, and his track 'French Phunk' is an engaging funk-house remix of the unbeatable James Brown's 'Get Up Offa That Thang'. Next up is the man of the hour, founder Jesse Jacob and his tech house groover 'Tristesse' is a real powerhouse and you can definitely hear some of the old DeHeus trying to push through. Opening Side B is the British underground disco DJ DeMarzo, the meticulous multi-instrumentalist has been honing his sound over the past few years and what we get is something as versatile as 'Willis' to show for it - a real highlight from the bunch. Closing off is the Beatport chart topper, Leiden's Job De Jong who is once again proving that 90s house is just as hard-hitting today as it always was.
