After a bountiful 2024 that saw him releasing tracks through RinseFM, Club Sweat and more, James Pepper (Eora/Syd) is gearing up to drop his first two-track project of 2025.
The Ya Mind EP (via Gallery Recs) is a party, with 90s synth stabs, energetic percussion, and joyous piano taking the lead. Straight out of the gates comes the title track "Ya Mind", a whirling videogame-esque house jam, that climbs to great altitudes thanks to big kickdrums and emphatic keys. It's that signature Pep sound, perfectly cooked for the club.
The EP's second offering, "El Nosirrah," is a squelchy, rave-like belter that evokes the mid-90s. Merging acid stabs with anthemic tones, Pep creates an all-out frenzy. This track is designed purely for raised hands and an overflow of euphoria.
